State Police Chief Loknath Behra has instructed district police chiefs to take necessary actions to ease the movement of children for attending the SSLC and Plus Two examinations. It has also been suggested that the vehicles carrying students should not be blocked at all.
For the convenience of the girls, maximum number of women police officers have been assigned the duty. The presence of the Janamaithri police will be ensured in vehicles carrying children for examination, who belong to scheduled tribes. Sufficient number of police force will be deployed in many examination centers and other important centers. Children who cannot be reached for any reason will be taken in the police vehicle for examination. Steps will be taken to avoid the rush at schools before and after the exam.
Additional SPs and Additional Deputy Commissioners are responsible for the police force in the districts in connection with the examination. District police chiefs and the control room will keep track of the exam centers. Janamaithri police has been instructed to assist the departments concerned in conducting the examination by following the guidelines including social distance. Even after the exam, the police will remain vigilant. It has also been directed to report to the ADGP at the police headquarters every evening. Earlier, the state police chief had instructed to take steps to prevent the departure of head teachers/masters, principals, teachers and other staff in connection with the examination.
