Worsening the situation, the UDF candidate from Kozhikode – MK Raghavan would now have to face the charges levied against him on the ‘spy camera’ controversy. Levying various charges including those of the anti corruption, it seems the case could have serious implications on the election which is to be held tomorrow.
Earlier it was TV9 channel, which released the video footages of MK Raghavan bribing a group of journalists (disguised as businessmen). The footages suggested that the UDF candidate had asked for INR 5 Cr, for giving sanction to start a hotel in Kozhikode. The footages saw MK Raghavan asking them to handover the amount to the party office in Delhi, as election fund. It was DYFI leader Muhammed Riyaz, who lodged a complaint against the UDF leader.
