Sony has launched a new pair of premium and sleek TWS earbuds. The Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds promise exceptional sound quality, advanced noise cancellation, remarkable call clarity, and comfort.

The newly announced Sony WF-1000XM5 earphones succeed the Sony WF-1000XM4 earbuds, which were launched globally about two years ago. The latest TWS earbuds pack several upgrades over their predecessor.

The Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds promise improved sound, noise cancellation, and better call quality. The wireless earbuds are equipped with Sony’s Integrated Processor V2 chip and the QN2e processors for improved ANC performance.

Sony has also incorporated its Dynamic Driver X, and 24-bit audio processing, DSEE Extreme upscaling technology into the WF-1000XM5. In addition to the SBC and AAC audio codecs, they also support Sony’s LDAC codec for Hi-Res wireless audio streaming.

Sony claims the WF-1000XM5 has Deep Neural Network (DNN) processing and bone conduction sensors. These software and hardware features promise to improve call quality even in environments with loud ambient sounds.

The Sony WF-1000XM5 TWS earbuds support innovative features Speak to Chat, Adaptive Sound Control, Multipoint Connect, Fast Pair, Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and Google and Alexa voice assistant support.

Sony claims that the WF-100XM5 earphones offer up to 12 hours of battery life with general usage. Switching on ANC drops battery endurance to 8 hours. The earbud’s case features a USB Type-C port for charging, but it also supports wireless charging. The Sony WF-1000XM5 TWS earbuds have an IPX4 rating for splash resistance.

Sony WF-1000XM5 is priced at $299 (approx. ₹24,447). They are available in two color options: Black and Silver.
