Kozhikode: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has directed to remove the banners erected against him by the SFI activists in the Calicut University campus.
The SFI banner, which read ‘Sanghi Chancellor Wapas Jao’, angered the Governor. He walked down the road inside the campus and directed the officials to remove the banners against him.
Many banners were put up in the campus with the words ‘Sanghi Chancellor Wapas Jao’. Seeing all this, the governor got angry and ordered to remove it immediately.
At the same time, the Governor directed the Raj Bhavan Secretary to seek an explanation from the Vice Chancellor (VC) of the university as to why the banners were allowed to be hung and why the banners were not removed.
Banners were put up in the campus by the SFI activists who are on strike against the Governor regarding the nomination of members to the Senate.
