Though Corona virus has drastically ditched the sales and businesses of various spheres, it has not shaken the sales of liquor however. In the 11 outlets of the Beverages Corporation in Kozhikode and also in the 3 outlets of Consumerfed, liquor sales worth Rs 2 lakh 87 lakhs was recorded on Thursday, which is 23 lakhs more than the previous month of the same day. Reposrts say that it has only increased when compared to the previous month.
The sales in bars and beer parlours have also not differed much.While all other sectors are witnessing a drastic decline in sales and the business hit due to the coronavirus scare and birdflu. Self-restriction has been imposed across all sectors but still there is no regulation for liquor outlets.
