Indian Institute of Science (IISC) has invited applications from eligible candidates for conducting research programmes on various disciplines. The Bachelor of Science (Research) Programmes are being conducted across the disciplines of Biology/Chemistry/Earth and Environmental Science/Materials/Mathematics/Physics. During the first one half years of the 4 year programmes, the following subjects are mandatory for all disciplines – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering and Humanities. During the next one and half years, students will engage in their chosen specialization. It is during the fourth year of the course, which student undergoes research oriented project as well as pursuing other specializations.
Those who have passed the qualifying examination in 2017, and those who are appearing for the 2018 examinations, can apply for the course. Candidates are required to score a minimum of 60 percentage marks in the qualifying examination. Application fee for general candidates is INR 500, while for the rest, it is INR 250.
