MD Global has finally launched the much awaited Nokia 8 in India. At INR 36,999, Nokia 8 is also the most expensive smartphone of the company till date. Another feature, which makes this device stands out from the previous models is the presence of a dual rear camera.
Nokia 8 will be available in 3 colour variants – Polished Blue, Tempered Blue and Steel colour. While it is going to be available in all the retail stores, it however has partnered with Amazon as far as the online presence is concerned with.
As far as the dual rear camera of Nokia 8 is concerned with, both the lenses are powered by Carl Zeiss optics. The two 13MP cameras at the rear end, they are designed take coloured shots with OIS as well as shooting in monochrome. While the primary camera comes with an aperture value of f/2.0, coupled with PDAF and dual-tone flash, the 13MP selfie shooter has an aperture value of f/2.0. With ‘Bothie’ or Dual-Sight mode, the facility enables the device to split screen visual for both photos and videos.
The 5.3 inch Quad HD display of Nokia 8 is of 1440×2560 pixel resolution, whereas there is a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 as a protective feature. The device runs on Android 7.1 Nougat OS, which could later be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo. The octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor is clubbed with 4GB of RAM, while the 64GB internal storage can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
At the same time, Nokia 8 comes up with Nokia OZO audio – which is a 360-degree audio technology, providing better multimedia experience. Sporting a 3090mAh battery with Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0 support, the smartpone is equipped with a fingerprint sensor on the front panel. The smartphone offers connectivity options such as 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-F-, Bluetooth, USB Type C and NFC.
