Pinterest allows searching pins by skin tone

Pinterest has introduced a feature to its platform, which allows users searching a specific pin by the skin tone. This has come to be a huge relief for the users of Pinterest, who are into the platform to discover and save looks and styles, which they wanted to try. While searching pins using the skin tone, the results are categorized according to the four different icons representing the skin tone.

The tool is being tested on the idea of making the makeup and color outfit combinations, more accurate. According to the reports, Pinterest has worked with ModiFace app, to create algorithm, which can accurately detect the skin color of people from images. It is expected that after the beta test, which is being undertaken, Pinterest would roll out the feature across all of its users.
