Oppo company reports suggest that the company would go for a major uplift for its Greater Noida factory. From the current 15 million units/year, the company would upgrade the capacity of Noida factory to produce 50 million units/year. Speaking about the factory, Oppo company officials maintained that the factory would be functional by this year end. While the company has already established an SMT plant, the construction of yet another facility is underway in the industrial park.
Part of the government’s ‘Make in India’ programme, the new factory of Oppo would be concentrating on locally manufactured or assembled printed circuit boards (PCBs). With this the Chinese giant is trying to widen its current Indian market share – at 7.4 percent in Q1, 2018.
