The Indian Medical Association IMA) has expressed their concerns over the decision of the state to open religious institutions in the state. Making it clear that opening up of places of worship would only help in gravening the current situation of the state, IMA added that the situation is still not under control.
IMA has maintained that not just places of worship, but any place that could possibly invite large gathering of people, shouldn’t be opened. IMA also protested the decision of the government to sanction the opening of shopping malls in non containment zones. Earlier, it was yesterday that the central government sanctioned opening the places of worship, provided that they comply with the issued guidelines and protocols.
