Bharti Airtel has announced that they would no longer be charging the international roaming activation fee for the subscribers. In a move that would attract users more to the international roaming packs, Airtel company officials maintained that their Smart International Roaming packs would enable users to stay happy without concerning about the bill shocks.
The packs would get auto applied, when customers exceed the daily usage criteria, which is set by the company right now. It was in last year, when Airtel launched the international roaming voice packs, such as ‘Foreign Pass’ for the prepaid customers in India. For a starting price of INR 196, the pass is available for 20 countries, where the NRI penetration is the more. The move of Airtel is expected to bring a similar one from Vodafone Idea.
