A baby only months old and a two-year-old were sold. Mumbai Police arrested four persons including a couple in the incident.

Shabir Khan and his wife Sania were drug addicts. Both have three children.
The family initially lived with Shabir’s sister Rubina in Bandra.
But when Rubina questioned her use of drugs, they moved from there first to Andheri and then to Vasai.
With the economic crisis, Shabir and his wife Sania came back to Bandra. Rubina, who realized that two of the three children were missing, asked them.

That’s when they told about the sale of children for drugs. A two-year-old son was sold for 60,000 rupees and a month-old daughter was sold for 14,000 rupees.
Rubina immediately reported this information to the police. Subsequently, the police arrested Usha, the middleman who helped them, and Shakeel Makrani, who bought the two-year-old boy.
