NIMCET 2018 First Allotment & Download Seat Allotment Letter

National Institute of Technology will publish the NIMCET 2018 first round allotment on 26 June 2018. Candidates can check their allotment result and print seat allotment letter at the official site given below.Candidates will be offered seats based on their choices in the order of NIMCET-2018 rank in three rounds of allotment. Candidates who are allotted seats in the first two rounds may either accept or opt for an upgradation in the next round.

A candidate who is allotted a seat in the 1st round or the 2nd round MUST REPORT TO ANY OF THE PARTICIPATING INSTITUTES on the dates specified. Reporting at any of the participating institutes other than the allotted institute is called Remote Reporting. Remote reporting is permitted in the first round and the second round of allotments only. During this reporting, the candidate has to produce his/her original academic documents, proof of Date of Birth, caste and relevant certificates for verification and submit payment receipt of the initial fee Rs. 10,000/- (to be paid through NIMCET 2018 website only) and give his/her option in the option form. The candidate will also be issued a provisional admission letter. Note 1: Candidates, who get seats in first round of allotment and do not report at any reporting center between June 22 and 23, 2018, will be permanently deleted from the database and will not be offered any seat in the subsequent rounds of allotment. Similarly, candidates who get seats only in the second round (but not in the first round) and do not report at any reporting center between July 5 and 6, 2018 will be permanently deleted from the database and will not be offered any seat in the subsequent rounds of allotment.

If a candidate who is allotted a seat in the 3rd round wishes to exercise Option-1, then he/she should report directly to the Institute allotted and get admitted by paying full fees. However, if the candidate opts for Option-2, he/she must report at any convenient reporting centre. During this reporting, the candidate has to produce his/her original academic documents, proof of Date of Birth, caste and relevant certificates for verification and submit payment receipt of the initial fee Rs. 10,000/- (to be paid through NIMCET 2018 website only) and give his/her option in the option form. Candidates who get seats only in the third round (but not in the first or second round) and do not report at any reporting center between July 16 and 17, 2018 will be permanently deleted from the database and will not be offered any seat in the subsequent rounds of allotment. Note 2: Candidates who got seats allotted/upgraded in any round(s), and do not wish to join the institute, but wish to participate in the final round of allotment must approach a reporting center, surrender the seat between July 16 and 17, 2018 by submitting a prescribed application. See section 3 (vii). (vi) Getting Admitted into the Allotted Institute: After the third round of allotment, all the allotted candidates (either in the first two rounds of allotment or in the third round of allotment) are required to physically present themselves at the latest allotted institute for admission between July 16 and 17, 2018 and attend the classes as per the Academic Calendar published by the respective NIT.
(vii) Surrendering of seats by the candidates: Candidates who got seat allotted/upgraded in any round(s), and do not wish to join the institute, but wish to participate in the final round of allotment must approach a reporting center, surrender the seat between July 16 and 17, 2018 by submitting a prescribed application. At a later stage, these candidates will receive a refund of Rs. 9,000/- through online transfer into the respective account based on their bank account details entered in the prescribed application while surrendering.
(viii) Fresh Choice filling and final round of allotment: After third round of reporting, vacant seats in all the participating NITs will be published in the website https://www.nimcet.in on July 21, 2018. Candidates who were not allotted any seat from the first to the third round of allotment and those who have surrendered their seats are only eligible to fill fresh choices from July 22, 2018 to July 23, 2018 for the final round of allotment. Final round of allotment will be done on July 25, 2018 and candidates, who are offered seats in this round, must report to the allotted institute between July 26, 2018 and July 30, 2018 to join and attend the classes.
