New hots pots are announced in Kerala, Neyyattinkara Municipality in Thiruvananthapuram, Ochira and Thrikkovilvattom panchayats in Kollam district and Udayanapuram panchayat in Kottayam. With this the total number of hots pots in the state has increased to 70.
The Chief Minister said the regulation on hotspots would be tightened. Where declared a hotspot, one road will be excluded and all remaining roads will be closed. Regular inquiries are made by contacting those who in home quarantine and their neighbors directly or by phone. The police have visited 349504 homes and/or inquired over the phone so far since the lockdown started. The Chief Minister said that the health workers too are getting involved in this.
