It has been two years since the legendary actor Rishi Kapoor left for the heavenly abode. After a long battle with cancer, he passed away on April 30, 2020. Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor’s 45 years of love story came to an end two years back. Recently, their son Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot with actress Alia Bhatt and Neetu had wrote in memory of him, “Fulfilled your dream”.
On the occasion of late actor’s death anniversary, Neetu took to her Instagram handle to share a clip from a show, in which she is a judge and wrote, “Today is two years since rishi ji left us … loosing a partner of 45 years was difficult n painful at that time the only way to heal my heart was to keep myself mentally occupied .. Movie n television heldped me achieve that.. Rishiji will always be remembered n will stay in everyone’s heart forever.”
Neetu recently broke down when a contestant’s grandmother shared about her family’s connection with Rishi. The woman said that her husband met Rishi in 1974 and the actor always supported her husband. As she sang the song Lambi Judaai in his memory, Neetu turned emotional and was seen holding back her tears.
Neetu is now making her acting comeback with Jug Jugg Jeeyo. The film, also starring Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani and Varun Dhawan, is set to hit theatres on June 24.
