“I have used my own voice in this film. It was the director’s idea. What if our mother had a voice like this? Will you be dubbing with someone else? No. This character is also like this. So the director was saying that it is enough to talk in the same way. That’s how I am dubbing myself in this movie” – says the actress.
“There is little difficulty in speaking. Others think I sound strained. The reason for the loss of sound was actually an accident on location. The incident happened years ago. I was acting in a movie as a pair with Prem Nazir. My character’s mouth is bleeding in it. In order to act like that, coconut oil was poured into a red powder and turned into blood. That’s how I see blood in movies” – says the actress.
“Nazir sir was also present during the shooting of this scene. Nazir sir said that when it is time to take the scene, blood will be poured into my mouth. Naseer gave it away. I only remember what was poured out. Then something like smoking happened. Everyone said to spit. I spit but nothing came out. What actually happened was that acid was poured into the powder instead of oil. It was the assistant who did it. But I don’t believe he did it on purpose. But I was losing the sense in my mouth. In addition, the airways became dry. That’s how the sound came to be. Whatever ails me, the first thing that affects me is the voice. After several treatments, nothing worked.
