The gynecologist was suspended from service following the discovery that the PG certificate was forged. TS Seema, a junior consultant (gynecology) at Karunagapally Taluk hospital, has been suspended by the director of the health department, Kerala.
The probe was launched following a complaint lodged by Sabu at Sabu Bhavan, west of Kallada Valiyapadam. In 2010, a student named TS Seema from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences was arrested by the Health Department. The order states that it is clear that the course was not successful.
According to the university, another student had passed the register number on the certificate presented by TS Seema. Following this, TS Seema was suspended pending investigation. TS Seema, a native of Cherthala, has been a gynecologist at Karunagapally Taluk Hospital for seven years.
In 2019, Sabu’s wife Sridevi was admitted to Karunagapally Taluk Hospital with a maternity ailment. The baby died shortly after Sridevi gave birth on November 11. Sabu had lodged a complaint with the health department alleging that the baby had died due to a medical error. There were also huge protests against the doctor.
Following Sabu’s complaint, the baby’s body was later exhumed and postmortem performed. Sabu had applied to the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in Maharashtra under the Right to Information Act to know the qualifications of a doctor. Following this, Sabu lodged a complaint with the Chief Minister, the Health Minister and the Director of Health.
