Producers' and distributors' organizations have rejected the decision of theater owners' association FEOIC not to allow new releases in Kerala from February 22.
Both the organizations have said that the films will be released on the currently scheduled dates.
This was said in a joint statement.
The organizations announced that 'Manjummal Boys', which is being released by Dream Big Films for Srigokulam Movies, will be screened on February 22 and the sequels will be screened on the same dates.
The theaters in Kerala, which have warm relations with the organizations, have informed that they will screen the film by signing the contract.
The organizations have clarified that they will continue to cooperate with these theaters and decided that there is no need for further cooperation with theaters that do not screen the film.
Fioc, the theater owners' association, has decided not to allow new releases from February 22. The theater owners point to the fact that the films are released in theaters and quickly come on OTT platforms as the main reason for the strike.
