Swargachithra Appachan is one of the all time popular producers in Malayalam. He has produced many films that have become milestones in Malayalam cinema. The most notable of these is Manichitrathazhu. He produced the films Ramjirao Speaking, The Godfather and Vietnam Colony.
Apart from producing, he has also distributed several Malayalam films. He has produced only two films in Tamil. Both were films starring Vijay. Swargachithra Appachan’s Tamil films were Friends and Azhakiya Tamil Makan. His last film was Azhakiya Tamil Makan.
Swargachithra Appachan was in a deal with Vijay’s father Chandrasekaran at the time of the production of Azhakiya Tamil Makan. As part of this, Swargachithra Appachan had received Rs 1 crore from Vijay’s father Chandrasekhar. Then the issue went on for years. Finally, this case has now been decided.
The court sentenced him to three years in prison. Such a verdict has come as the money due has not been paid yet. The producer of two of Vijay’s super hit films, Vijay’s father, has created a huge buzz in Tamil cinema.
