The movie industry has developed an inclination towards online releases in the wake of theaters being closing down following the lockdown. Many of the films due for release in March are hinging on uncertainties. However, the makers of Megastar Mammootty starrer ‘One’ have confirmed that their movie will not be released in OTT. In a Facebook post, ‘Ichayees Productions’, which has produced the movie, said that they are not giving their film for an OTT release and are looking forward to release the movie in theater after Covid days.
Taking social media space, the makers maintained that everyone should make all effort to overcome the great pandemic. They also showed solidarity and maintained that they were being grateful for all those who are boldly fighting against the pandemic. Directed by Santhosh Viswanath, Mammootty is essaying the role of the chief minister of Kerala in the movie ‘One’. The film has been scripted by Bobby-Sanjay. Earlier, when producer Vijay Babu had announced that his movie ‘Sufiyum Sujathayum’ will be released on Amazon Prime, it made an outcry in the industry. The movie has incidentally became the first Malayalam film to release in OTT platforms.
