Prior, during a meeting with The Indian Express, movie producer Imtiaz Ali had opened up about the idea of Love Aaj Kal.
“It’s anything but a spin-off or a continuation. It is a crisp story with new characters. The idea, obviously, is the equivalent. Two stories, set in various periods, associate with one another. That is the explanation I was clear about calling my most recent film Love Aaj Kal. This story came in my psyche a few years back, when I was conversing with my little girl (Ida) about the sentimental days of my life. A long time later, it had framed a specific story. Along these lines, I chose to let it all out. One romantic tale in the film is set in Delhi, presently, and the other story happens during the 1990s. These two are altogether different from one another. However, the embodiment of what you are searching for in a darling or a sentimental relationship is the equivalent,” Imtiaz had said.
Imtiaz Ali is essentially known for helming sentimental dramatizations like Tamasha, Rockstar, Jab We Met and Socha Na Tha. Asked whether he could ever split away from the class, the chief stated, “I need to have the capacity and the opportunity to do anything, any sort of film that I feel like as long as it is engaging individuals. I will accomplish something that I am generally keen on, not on the grounds that I need to transform anything.”
