‘Kurup’ starring Dulquer Salman at Rs 50 crore club. Five days after its release, the film hit the 50 crore club. Dulquer Salman said that he was grateful to the audience for accepting ‘Kurup’ with open arms and that it was a community success. The film, which was screened in 505 screens in Kerala, earned Rs 6.5 crore on its first day. Vijayakumar had revealed. Although only 50 per cent of the seats were reserved for spectators, all of Kurupi’s performances were housefull. It was released on 1500 screens worldwide. In Kerala alone, more than 2,600 shows were held on the first day. There are theaters with seven or eight shows. The film collected Rs 10 lakh from Chennai City alone on the first day.
‘Kurupp’, which came after Covid’s restrictions, was able to go back to the heyday of Malayalam cinema. Kurup has got record openings in Tamil and Telugu as well as in Malayalam. The release of Diwali films in Tamil did not meet the expected success and brought the audience closer to Kurup. Kurup, directed by Srinath Rajendran and produced by Dulquer Salman’s second show, has a budget of Rs 35 crore. Produced by Wafer Films and M Star Entertainment, owned by Dulquer Salman.

Vini Vishwalal is also behind Kurup as the Creative Director. The production designer of the film is Banglan, who won the National Award for Best Production Design through the Blacksmith incident. The heroine of the movie is Shobhitha Dhulipala who made her Malayalam debut with the movie Moothon. Indrajith Sukumaran, Sunny Wayne, Shine Tom Chacko, Vijayaraghavan, P. Balachandran, Surabhi Lakshmi and Shivajith Padmanabhan are also in the cast.
