Yesterday, the court had asked each of the accused why not to give the death penalty in the TP murder case. The action of the High Court is part of the sentencing process after convicting the accused. The accused were called one by one to the accused's cage in the court and asked. The question of the court was whether there is anything to be said not to award the death penalty or a punishment close to it.
TP Chandrasekaran's wife and MLA KK Rama also reached the court yesterday. KK Rama said that it is hoped that the death penalty will not be less than death penalty for the accused.
