Bengaluru: Karnataka has announced financial assistance to the family of Ajeesh, who was killed in the attack by Belur Makhna, a mozayana driven by Karnataka.
Fifteen lakh rupees has been announced for Ajeesh's family. Karnataka Forest Minister Ishwar Khandra announced the funding.
Ishwar Khandra said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah informed that Ajeesh is considered to be a Karnataka citizen.
At present, the families of those who die in the wildcat attacks in Karnataka are being given an aid of Rs.15 lakhs. The same amount is given to Ajeesh's family.
Rahul Gandhi MP visited Ajeesh's family on Sunday. The financial assistance was announced after Rahul talked to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on the phone.
Meanwhile, Ajeesh was kicked to death in Belur Makhna Panachi on the last 10th. The elephant attacked Ajeesh after tearing down the wall.
The efforts of the forest department to capture this elephant by drugging it have failed till today. The mission was set back when the elephant moved into the interior forests of Karnataka.
