Hyderabad: Indian badminton player Jwala Gutta is being mocked for having born to Chinese mother. Jwala Gutta alleged that a section of people were mocking at her as ‘Half Corona’ in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. Jwala Gutta wrote in a national media outlet that the scandal of her Chinese relationship and the new nickname being spread. Jwala Gutta also lamented that many of the ridiculers in the media are asking for permission to take a selfie. Jwala Gutta’s father is an Indian and mother is Chinese.
There are a few things we don’t remember when others are mocking them as “corona” and Chinese virus .We are the country where most people in the world die from malaria and tuberculosis. About two lakh people die of tuberculosis each year. Lack of cleanliness in our country is a major cause of all this. What does it mean to call an Indian malaria or a TB carrier when he goes abroad?
