After a gap of five days, today Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has finally addressed the press meet. He informed that Kerala has added 78 new positive cases today. On the other hand, the number of negative cases stands at 32. A total of 64 cases are for those who came from; of these, 31 are from overseas. 36 came from other states, while 10 got the disease through transmission. 5 health workers turned positive through transmission. The state also recorded a death, Usman Kutty (71), a native of Irikkur, Kannur. Kerala, till now has recorded 19 Covid deaths.
With today’s report, the total number of cases in the state has risen to 2321. 999 were treated, while the state has got 1303 active cases right now. The number of new Covid cases in the state, with the district wise break up is as follows,
