Today, Kerala has registered 339 new Covid positive cases. This also happened to be the biggest daily positive figure that the state has marked till date, with the figure crossing the 300 mark for the second consecutive day. The number of samples that turned negative stands at 149. With this, the total number of covid cases in Kerala has reached 6,533, while the state’s total active cases have reached 2,795. A total of 3,710 people have recovered from the disease. Amongst those who have turned positive today, 117 are from overseas, while 74 came from other states. However, in an alarming note, the positive cases through transmission have ticked a record figure till date – 133, out of which the sources of 7 are yet to be traced.

Right now, 1,80,960 people are under observation, with the number of institutional quarantine standing at 3,261. Today, Kerala has tested a total of 12,592 samples – marking the highest figure till date. The state has tested a total of 3,07,219 samples till date. The results of 4,854 tests are yet to come. Today, a total of 471 people have been admitted to hospitals. Kerala, right now, has a total of 181 hotspots.
