Reliance Jio has announced true 5G in ten more locations in the country. True 5G services will be available in Agra, Kanpur, Meerut, Prayagraj, Tirupati, Nellore, Kozhikode, Thrissur, Ahmedabad and Nagpur from today.
Jio users in these locations will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer to experience unlimited data at 1 Gbps+ speed at no extra cost. Jio’s is a standalone 5G network that does not depend on the 4G network.
A Jio spokesperson said that they are proud to be able to provide Jio True 5G services in 10 cities in four states. Jio’s 5G services are currently available in 72 cities in the country.
What to watch out for in 5G?
Customers do not need to change their SIM cards to avail Jio 5G services. The 5G supported phone must have a postpaid connection or a basic prepaid recharge of Rs 239 or above.
The company promises that Jio will be able to offer low-latency connectivity, machine-to-machine communication, 5G voice, edge computing and network slicing services with standalone 5G. Also, if the customer stays in a 5G coverage area for a longer period of time, they will be eligible for the Jio Welcome Offer.
