The Film Exhibitors United Organization of Kerala has announced that ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’, will be released in Kerala on December 16. The FEUOK had earlier said that they will not co-operate with the distributors following a disagreement in the profit share.
Finally, FEUOK has solved the disagreement with the distributors. It is reported that the distributors had demanded a 60 per cent share in profits in the first two weeks of release.
Following the negotiation efforts, the distributors decided to change their demanded and asked for 55 per cent of the profit from the first two weeks of the release. While 45 per cent of the profit share during the period will be claimed by the theatre owners.
