India’s software services and IT enabled services (ITeS) have reached a record height when it touched $111 Billion during the financial year 2016 – 17. When compared to the previous year, the service exports have grown by 3.83 percent. The figures, released by the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), further maintained that the US remains India’s top contractor. The country accounted for close to 57 percentage of India’s total exports – at $63.51 Billion.
The UK grabbed the second spot with a share of 18 percentage and produced a business volume of $20 Billion. Along with these two destinations, Indian software service exports have been backed by some emerging markets such as Japan, Africa and Latin America.
