The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in Kerala in the next five days.
IMD alerted the formation of a low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal by Wednesday, which might intensify later and turn into a cyclonic circulation in the next 24 hours.
The low pressure is likely to cause heavy rains in Kerala as well in the next 48 hours.
The red alert issued for Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod was cancelled. A red alert has been sounded in Kasaragod, Kannur and Kozhikode districts, and a yellow alert has been sounded in six districts on Wednesday.
