The District Collector on Saturday (November 27) declared holiday for all educational institutions in Thiruvananthapuram district, including professional colleges, in the wake of the Central Meteorological Department’s heavy rain warning and continuous heavy rains during the night.
The notice also states that the leave does not apply to pre-scheduled examinations and general examinations. The Central Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rainfall of 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm in 24 hours till Sunday in Thiruvananthapuram district. A yellow alert has been declared in the district these days.
