Kozhikode: Governor Arif Muhammad Khan collapsed while visiting Mithaitheru and died while undergoing treatment. Ashokan Adiyodi (70), a native of Chevayur, died. Died while undergoing treatment at Kozhikode Government Beach Hospital.
At the same time, the CPM alleged that the governor was responsible for his death. Ashoka was at Mithai Theru when the governor came. It is alleged that he could not be rushed to the hospital as he suddenly fell ill.

The governor arrived at Mithaitheru without prior notice. Due to this there was a lot of traffic and congestion. So he could not be taken to the hospital on time.
Therefore, the CPM accused the governor to be responsible for the death. Ashokan was standing at the LIC bus stop when he collapsed at 12.36 pm.
He could not be taken to the hospital immediately due to the traffic jam that occurred after the Governor’s arrival. It is reported that he was admitted to the hospital a little late.
The Governor, who said that he did not need police security, unexpectedly arrived at Mithaitheru on Monday afternoon. The governor returned after visiting the shops, eating halwa and interacting with the people.
