Google joined hands with Universal Stylus Initiative

Google has teamed up with Universal Stylus Initiative for standardizing Styluses across various platforms. Universal Stylus Initiative (USI) was started with a mission of developing and promoting industry specification for a cross system active stylus. Over 30 companies have joined the USI platform. With Google joining hands with USI, Google devices might soon start supporting USI standard.

Earlier, it was in the year 2016, which the USI 1.0 Stylus and Device Specification was finalized. The specification included a 2 way communication on active stylus and supports 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. The cost of enabling USI technology in the existing touch sensor devices, will only cost you minimal amount.
