Google has introduced some marked changes to the HTTPS encryption. The HTTP encryption, which is been adopted by a number of the websites, will no longer display the word ‘Secure’. On the other hand, the HTTPS encryption would be the norm from hereafter for all the websites. As informed by Google, the websites without HTTPS, would finally get ‘not secure’ message by July, 2018 onwards. By July, Google would be launching ‘Chrome 68’.
However, with a major chunk of the Chrome traffic on both Android and Windows now been protected by HTTPS, the decision might not affect the smooth functioning of internet.
