Kollam: Accused daughter-in-law Manjumol Thomas has been remanded in the case of brutal beating of an elderly woman in Kollam. The court remanded him for 14 days.
The court rejected the bail application of the accused and remanded the accused. Then accused Manjumol was transferred to Thiruvananthapuram Attakulangara Women’s Jail.
It was stated in the bail application that bail was required to take care of the children. However, the court did not consider this.
The other day, footage of Manju’s daughter-in-law brutally beating Vyodhika, the mother-in-law, came out. The video of him being pushed off the sofa and beaten with an iron rod went viral.
Later, the police registered a case in the incident and arrested the accused Manju and produced him in the court this afternoon.
