Yet another project has been announced in Mollywood, defying the restrictions announced by the Producers’ Association. However, unlike the previous occasions, this time a biggie has decided to take on the odds. Mega blockbuster movie ‘Drishyam’ is getting a sequel and Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph have decided to start the shoot of ‘Drisyam 2’ from August 17 onwards.
The project, which will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of ‘Aashirvad Cinemas’, will go on floors from August 17th onwards, with Todupuzha forming the main backdrop. It must be mentioned that makers have ensured that all the necessary precautionary measures would be taken by them in order to avoid the spread of Covid 19.
The restrictions announced by the ‘Producers’ Association’ is getting a fitting response from the film makers in the state. Started off by the younger brigades of the industry, the ban on film making announced by the bankers seems to be not working well with the biggies as well. The decision taken by AMMA and FEFKA to counter Producers’ Association is one such a deciding moment that could decide the trajectory of the ongoing tussle between producers and film makers in the state.
