Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) has expressed their unhappiness over the public statement issued by the Producers’ Association on cutting down the production cost of movies. While commenting on the issue, AMMA maintained that the Producers’ Association could have raised the issue before AMMA in a direct manner, rather than going for a public statement. Officials of AMMA informed that the general body meeting of the association for this month was called off.
It was on the wake of the Covid outbreak that resulted in the industry on a standstill, which Producers’ Association decided to take the decision of cutting down the production cost for survival. The Association maintained that the remuneration of artists and technicians should be cut down in order to fulfill the purpose. Last day, FEFKA convened a meeting and agreed to cut down the remuneration of the technicians.
