All the new positives came from outside. While 4 people are from abroad, neighboring states accounted for 8 cases. Maharashtra – 6, Gujarat – 1 and Tamil Nadu – 1 reported the highest number of cases. As many as 642 cases have been reported in the state so far; currently 142 people are under treatment. There are 72,000 people under observation, with the respective figures of people under observation in home and hospital being, 71545 and 455. The number of hot spots in the state has reached 33. Newly added hotspots of the day include Panur Municipality, Chokli, Mayil Panchayat of Kannur and Koruthodu Panchayat of Kottayam District. Underlining the Random test and sentinel surveillance test results, CM ensured that the state is not witnessing community spread.
