Covid-19 has confirmed to 14 students who have written SSLC exam in Karnataka. With this, the total number of Covid confirmed students rose to 32. Students who have written their exams between June 25 and July 3 were affected by Coronavirus while 80 more students are in Quarantine.
The 10th class examination is scheduled to be held from March 27 to April 9 in the state. It was postponed to June 25 due to the spread of Covid. 7.60 lakh students appeared for SSLC exams in the state. Karnataka government officials said that 3911 students were unable to appear for the exam due to the containment zone.
The test was performed following the Covid protocol. The Department of Education has taken steps to disinfect the hands and to disinfect classrooms and seating areas. The students were admitted to the examination hall only after thermal screening. Those who come from the containment area and who have any symptoms are allowed to sit the examination in separate rooms. In the event of Covid confirmed in the students, those who have come in contact with them have been advised to enter observation.
