Congress leader Jaya Thakur approached the Supreme Court seeking an inquiry into the Adani Group

The Congress leader approached the Supreme Court seeking an inquiry against Adani Group companies based on the Hindenburg Report. The petition was filed in the Supreme Court by Jaya Thakur, a Mahila Congress leader from Madhya Pradesh.

The petition has also demanded an inquiry against SBI and LIC for buying shares of Adani Group at a higher price than the market price.

In the petition, the Adani Group has embezzled crores of public money and an inquiry has been requested. The petition has demanded that an investigation be conducted by various agencies like ED, CBI, DRI, SEBI, RBI and a retired judge from the Supreme Court should supervise the investigation.

It has been alleged in the petition that SBI and LIC bought shares of Adani Group for Rs 3200 when the market price was up to Rs 1800. The petition has demanded an inquiry into the same.
