Ladakh: China has deployed more patrol boats in the Pangong Soo Lake, which is on the Indo-China Line of Control. China’s move comes just two weeks after clashes broke out between the two countries in the region. Chinese troops are protesting against road construction and military patrolling near the Line of Control.

Meanwhile, observers say there may be problems elsewhere on the Line of Control following the conflict in Ladakh.

Earlier, China used three boats for patrolling the lake. It has now been raised to nine. Currently, the Indian Army has only three boats here.

The lake accounts for about a third of all border violations. It is common for patrols to cross the LoC. This approach is expected to increase with the increasing number of boats.

The two countries have disputes over the actual regulatory regime in the region. So the Chinese are trying to get more patrols to areas they claim are near their Line of Control.

Efforts are also being made to prevent Indian Army patrolling. Moreover, other places in Ladakh have disputes with China over the Line of Control. After the defeat of the Pakistani army in the Kargil War in 1999, the Indian Army is still patrolling the area. However, the Chinese army is building a road suitable for small vehicles and patrolling the vehicle.

China has blocked India’s efforts to pave the way for the region to ease the difficulties of the military. The Indian army is being forcibly repatriated by the Chinese troops, who deliberately entered the country.
