Drafting a notification regarding the amendments, which they are about to come up, the union government of India is gearing up to change the way which the Central Motor Vehicles Rules were applied to BS IV vehicles. As per the reports, the draft proposes to close the registration process for BS IV Vehicles by June 2020.
The move is in line with the plans of the government to adapt to the Euro VI emission norms by April 1st, 2020. Well, that means the country would be missing the BS V norms, while it could tighten the initiatives to prevent the rising levels of pollution in the country. Further adding, the notification maintained that vehicles not conforming to this regulation, won’t have a window to register after September 30, 2020.
