A group of people is now calling for a boycott against Netflix, citing the kissing scene of a Hindu woman and a Muslim man on a temple premises.
Protesters say Netflix is always hurting Hindu sentiments and spreading anti-Hindu agenda.
The BJP claims that Netflix is supporting the Love Jihad. Yuva Morcha President Gaurav Tiwari says. The campaign is also active on Twitter with the hashtag Boycott Netflix. The series is based on Vikram Seth’s novel A Suitable Boy. The other characters are played by Tanya Manikattla and Rasika Dugal. The series is being prepared in English.
Meera Nair is the director of Kamasutra, The Namesake, and Salam Bombay. The screenplay is written by Andrew Davis. The film tells the story of four pre-independence families.
