In a big win, Suriya starrer ‘Soorarai Pottru’ won a total of six awards at the Osaka Tamil International Film Festival. The production house on Monday took to social media and announced the big news.
At the Osaka Tamil International Film Festival, ‘Soorai Pottru’ won the awards for Best Tamil Film, Best Music Director, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Art Director and Best Production House of the year.

‘Soorarai Pottru’ which was directed by Sudha Kongara is a biography of GR Gopinath who started the airline Air Deccan. The film had received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. It is currently being remade in Hindi with Akshay Kumar as the lead.
On OTT, the film was released in Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu in 2020.
