Prashanth Neel’s magnum opus ‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’ had a massive opening on Friday after minting Rs 134.5 crores, making it one of the biggest openers of all time for an Indian film.
The Hindi dubbed version of ‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’ has become the widest post-pandemic release with as many as 4500 screens on its opening day. Across the country, ‘K.G.F 2’ has released across 10,000 screens on Day 1.

‘Chapter 2’ has also created the record for the best opening in Karnataka by collecting close Rs. 28 crores. The makers of the film also expect Rs 500 crore worldwide gross collections for KGF 2 in its very first extended weekend.

K.G.F: Chapter 2 is the second instalment in a two-part series, sequel to the 2018 film K.G.F: Chapter 1. The film stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon and Prakash Raj. It follows the assassin Rocky, who, after establishing himself as the kingpin of the Kolar Gold Fields, must retain his supremacy against adversaries and government officials, while also coming to terms with his past.
