Nokia 2 has started getting the Android security patch for the month of April. The update can be availed by accessing the ‘Software update’ option under the ‘About Phone’ subcategory in ‘Settings’. The April Android security patch brings two security levels and is capable of coping with system vulnerabilities. Along with it, the security patch addresses the security vulnerability in Android’s media framework. The vulnerability in Android media framework is capable of letting a remote attacker executing an arbitrary code with a ‘specially crafted file’. It was after which Google noticed a number of users being exploited, which the company resolved the issue with April patch.
Nokia 2, launched in October, last year, runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1. Sporting a 5 inch LTPS HD screen, Nokia 2 has got a RAM/ROM combination of 1GB/8GB. Powered by a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 SoC, the device has got an 8MP rear camera, whereas a 5MP sensor powers the front camera. The 4,000mAh battery, according to the company, is capable of providing a power backup of up to 2 days.
