While Apple’s sales report came out, it was evident that the company’s iPhone sales come out with below par figures. However, it wasn’t just an Apple story, but the entire smartphone industry met with decline of sales. A survey conducted by research firm IDC said that Apple has overtaken Samsung as the largest smartphone producer, on a global level.
Selling 77.3 million iPhones across the world during the fourth quarter of 2017, Apple has received an effective market share of 19.2 percentage. On the other hand, Samsung boasts a market share of 18.4 percentage, by selling 74.1 million smartphone units on the fourth quarter.
