Apple has announced the official release date of its flagship smart speaker, HomePod. As was informed by the tech giant, HomePod would hit online spaces on February in selected markets. Originally supposed to get launched by December, 2017, Apple however postponed launching the HomePod. That said, fans can pre book the device from January 26 onwards. All set to hit markets such as the US, the UK and Australia, Apple HomePod is been priced at $349, which approximately translated into INR 22,238. On the second round, the smart speaker would be hitting the market spaces of Germany and France. As far as the Indian market is concerned with, Apple is yet to make an official statement.
The 7.0 inch tall Apple HomePod was earlier showcased during the World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2017. Incorporating an upward facing woofer, it comes with a custom A8 chip, intended for real time software modeling. It comes with two speakers and incorporates a six microphone array as well, which has got an advanced echo cancellation.
