Apple has announced a battery replacement programme for 13 inch MacBook Pro models across the world. Through this programme, MacBook Pro models, which do not have Touch Bars, can replace their battery. It must also be added that, the affected models must have been manufactured between 2016 October and 2017 October. Going in line with the words of Apple, some of these models have experienced an erroneous battery expansion and were not safe for usage. Customers, who have experienced such malfunctions, can register for the battery replacement programme via the ‘MacBook Pro Battery Replacement Page’. While accessing the page, customers would be required to use the serial number checker.
Eligible customers would have to visit the nearest Apple Authorized Service Provider. They can also mail the erroneous device to an Apple Repair Center as well. One important direction, which Apple has given to such customers, is to backup their important data, before mailing the devices.
